C. Jolynn Cook, RN, COE, CASC
C. Jolynn Cook is a senior consultant for BSM Consulting based in Worthville, Pa. In her role at BSM, Ms. Cook consults with a variety of individual, group, and corporate clients to identify specific needs and issues while providing enduring strategic solutions that achieve the objectives of all stakeholders.
Prior to joining BSM, Ms. Cook was the administrator of Laurel Eye Clinic, Laurel Laser & Surgery Center, and Laurel Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery. Her responsibilities included managing operations at the practice’s 10 offices, two ambulatory centers, and cosmetic and plastic surgery practice, all of which were located in Pennsylvania.
Throughout her 20-year ophthalmic career, she has been a member of many professional organizations including the American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators (ASOA), American Academy of Ophthalmic Executives (AAOE), Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), and the Ambulatory Care Accreditation Program and Technical Advisory Committee (PTAC). She is also a regular speaker and presenter at the annual Hawaiian Eye meeting, where she serves as a committee member for Nursing and Allied Health Providers.
In addition, Ms. Cook serves on the editorial board of Ophthalmic Professional magazine, authoring its compliance column. She has also written for Administrative Eyecare and BSM Connection® for Ophthalmology. Ms. Cook has also served on the BSM Consulting Advisory Board, providing guidance on distance learning and course development for BSM Connection, and she was president of the NBCOE board and a member of the ASOA board.
Ms. Cook is a registered nurse (RN), a Certified Ophthalmic Executive (COE) and a Certified Administrator Surgery Center (CASC). Her education includes a nursing degree from Philipsburg State General Hospital in Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts degree in healthcare administration from Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa.
