With our acquisition by BSM Consulting last spring, Rose & Associates is excited to be attending next month’s 2018 ASCRS•ASOA Symposium and Congress as part of the respected BSM team for the first time — and you will benefit.

Going from a small, boutique consulting firm to part of the robust 52-member (and growing!) BSM team naturally comes with opportunities. One such opportunity is having a home base in the exhibit hall at BSM Booth #1315. This is a benefit for us and our established Rose & Associates clients, current BSM clients, and potential new clients.

Free Coding and Compliance Consultations at BSM Booth #1315

* Saturday, April 14, 12:30 – 1:30 p.m. (Laurie, Patricia, Elizabeth)

* Sunday, April 15, 9 – 10 a.m. (Patricia and Elizabeth)

* Monday, April 16, 11 a.m. - noon (Ann, Patricia, and Elizabeth)

We have scheduled times at the booth where two or more members of our compliance team will be available to answer coding, billing, documentation, and auditing questions for free with no appointment necessary. No question is too basic, and no compliance issue is off limits. Bring friends or acquaintances with you who might have some coding questions they need answering. The more the merrier, as it gives us a chance to provide booth visitors with valuable information and to further understand the challenges facing our industry. Even if you don’t have a question, come by the BSM booth to say “hi” and meet our expanding — and awesome if I do say so myself — coding and compliance team.

Speaking of our team, many of you already know my friend and BSM colleague Laurie Brown. Recently, she has been immersing herself in all things coding, documentation, and auditing to become a fellow auditor for the Rose & Associates division. Also, just last week, our fearless leader Bruce Maller announced the addition of Elizabeth Cifers to our team. Elizabeth is a certified procedural coder who is also certified in health care compliance. All of us — me; Laurie; Elizabeth; and Ann Rose, co-founder of Rose & Associates — will be at the booth. Please, stop by and see us.

We will be sharing our knowledge and expertise beyond the booth, as well. Ann and I will be presenting eight courses — four each — specifically on billing and coding. This does not include my participation in a JCAHPO course and Ann's involvement in a Practice Management Bootcamp on avoiding audits. Meanwhile, Laurie will co-host two courses — one on auditing — and be involved in a COE Review and a Consultants on Call session. We will also be present in the ASOA Networking Lounge as much as possible. Look for us.

This is all possible because Bruce and the BSM team heard their clients loud and clear when they asked for more compliance support and expertise, especially in the billing and coding arena. To provide that support, BSM approached Ann last year about combining missions. The subsequent merger of BSM Consulting and Rose & Associates is proving to be a win for all (especially the ophthalmic community) by providing better, more comprehensive services through a single consulting firm. We look forward to supporting you — physicians, administrators, and clinical and administrative support staff — at BSM Booth #1315 and on an increasingly global level for years to come.
